Here are the two zip files.

The file contains over 92,000 records on the Broughton families in the British Isles gathered from many sources.  I'm not interested in anywhere else. Download the zip file, unzip the csv file and open in something like Excel. I have used this information to build lots of Broughton family trees trying to make sense of my particular branch.

Data have not been corrected for the census but have been made for the other sources. Abbreviated forenames have been expanded were possible e.g. Jas = James. Parish names have been mostly converted into a standard format. The four Yorkshire ridings have been grouped into Yorkshire. Some dates have been converted where either the day or month are not given e.g. June 1792 = 01/06/1792 and 1792 = 01/01/1792. The original date entry is also shown.

The following abbreviations are used.

Ad = Adopt

Bi = Birth

Ch = Bapt

De = Death

Ma = Mar

S = Misc
